Only about 20
minutes from Green Bay, the Reforestation Camp Mountain Bike Trail is well
worth the drive. The trail is actually a series of interconnected
single and double track trails composing somewhat of a maze of
trails. There are 3 main double track trails with distances of 2.5,
4.5 and 6 miles. The trail system has numerous and frequent trail
maps and directional markers so riders can experiment with route
variations without ever being too far from a map. The
trail area is relatively flat with a few moderate hills. Some areas
are quite sandy making pedaling very challenging. Bug spray is
highly recommended.
From Green Bay, take Highway 41
North to exit 176 (Suamico, County B). Turn left on County B, then
right on County IR (Reforestation Road). The trailhead is located on
the South side of the Upper Parking Lot.
The Reforestation Camp/Zoo grounds contain two main parking lots. For mountain biking, the Upper Parking Lot is recommended.
Restrooms are located in the main Lodge
building which is situated on the North side of the Upper Parking
Lot. A rustic outhouse is also located on the trail.
Trails are open from 8:00 am to sunset.
Daily Pass is $5 available at the
trailhead. NOTE: State Trail passes are not valid at this trail. The Reforestation Camp is a county facility with it's own passes. New Zoo Gift Shop
